Company History

RenaSci Consultancy was established as a contract research organisation early in 2001 by its three Executive Directors who were previously senior managers at Knoll Pharmaceuticals (BASF Pharma). They have 20-25 years experience in the pharmaceutical industry and one of the Directors also spent two years as the acting Chief Scientific Officer for a US biotech company. The Directors have successful track records in obesity, diabetes and CNS disorders both in industry and academia. Between them they have made important contributions to the global registration of sibutramine and European registration of zotepine, which has included extensive interactions with regulatory authorities throughout the world.

The majority of RenaSci's scientists also come with extensive pharmaceutical industry R&D experience.

The RenaSci scientific team has successfully taken new drug candidates into the clinic for the treatment of a range of metabolic and CNS disorders, including diabetes, obesity, depression, schizophrenia and Parkinson’s disease. We also have extensive experience of drug abuse liability assessment.
