BBSRC Industrial CASE award between RenaSci (Industrial supervisor: David Heal) and University of Bath (Academic supervisors: Sue Wannacott (Biochemistry Dept) and Chris Bailey (Pharmacy and Pharmacology Dept). 4-year PhD scholarship funding on a project entitled "To determine the contribution of nicotinic acetylcholine receptors (nAChRs) to learning and memory processes underlying motivation, using a combination of neurochemical and behavioural approaches", commenced October 2011.
MRC Industrial CASE award between RenaSci (Industrial supervisor: David Heal) and University College London (Academic supervisors: Clare Stanford (Pharmacology Dept). 3-year PhD scholarship funding on a project entitled "Development of the NK1R-/- mouse model of Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD): neurochemical, behavioural and cytochemical investigation of commonalities in the actions of first and second-line treatments for ADHD and their implications for the cause and treatment of comorbid obesity", commenced October 2011.
We also gratefully acknowledge Business Innovation Grants awarded to us by Healthcare and Bioscience Inet, Nottingham, part financed by the European Development Fund (ERDF), towards the cost of the Medtrack database (2008) and staff-training to enable us to establish the self-administration technique in-house (2011).
