We also offer a range of neurochemical assays for investigating the ability of drugs to interfere with the synthesis, metabolism, release or reuptake of neurotransmitters/neuromodulators in vitro or ex vivo (eg ³H monoamine uptake and inhibition of monoamine oxidase A and B activity in mouse and rat brain in vitro and inhibition of 5-HT and noradrenaline turnover (5-HTP and MHPG formation) in mouse brain ex vivo). We can measure all monoamines and metabolites and welcome enquires regarding the development of novel biochemical assays for assessing the effects of drugs on brain neurochemistry.
