Determining the probability that a compound acting via the CNS will be abused is an important step in novel drug development and is a legal requirement of the worldwide regulatory bodies. RenaSci offers a highly interactive blend of experimental services and consultancy for the abuse liability evaluation of novel compounds.

Our range of specific preclinical tests for evaluating the abuse liability of novel drugs include the “gold standard” models of drug discrimination and drug self-administration that have been shown to have high predictive validity for man and are mandatory for the regulatory approval of all centrally-acting drugs.

In addition, RenaSci is a founding member and integral part of ALTeC Abuse Liability Testing Collaboration which offers a unique “one-stop shop” abuse liability testing service in animals and man.
