– GABA

γ-Aminobutyric acid (GABA) is the main inhibitory neurotransmitter
of the CNS. As such, it is found in multiple regions, including
the frontal cortex, hippocampus and amygdala.

Effects of local infusion of nipecotic acid into the amygdala on GABA levels:
a microdialysis experiment in freely-moving rats.

Results are adjusted means; n=8. SEMs are calculated from the residuals of the statistical model.
Data were log-transformed and analysed by ANCOVA with log(baseline) as a covariate.
